Third death confirmed after chemical plant blast in Spain

TARRAGONA, Spain – The death toll climbed to three Wednesday from an explosion and fire at a petrochemical plant as one person died in a hospital and another body was found in the wreckage, authorities said. Seven other people were injured in the blast late Tuesday. Another victim was a man whose house nearby was hit by flying metal. The third victim, a man who had suffered severe burns, died in a Barcelona hospital almost 24 hours after the blast, Spanish private news agency Europa Press reported.
