- Mike Cruz

An Arizona woman sought by authorities after being accused of defrauding clients whose money she managed of more than $174,000 was found in Texas.

Kaufman County sheriff’s deputies took 42-year-old Krista Marie Cline into custody late Sunday evening, according to a news release from Yavapai County Sheriff 's Office. A Yavapai County deputy who had been tracking Cline notified Kaufman County officials of her location.

Cline was booked into a Kaufman County jail Monday, and by Tuesday afternoon was still awaiting extradition to Yavapai County to face charges.

A warrant for the Sedona woman's arrest was announced in November. Cline failed to appear in court in her case and fled the area, according to Yavapai County sheriff's officials.

Her bond was set at $125,000, according to a previous news release.

Cline's license was suspended by the Arizona Fiduciary Board, according to Yavapai County sheriff's officials.

Cline was acting as fiduciary for four different special needs clients who were older adults between 2014 and 2017. Authorities say Cline transferred funds not owed to her from the clients' accounts into her personal account.

Sheriff 's officials say Cline continued to take money from some clients after they had died. The total amount taken was $174,600.

At the time, Cline was arrested and then released from custody. But she failed to appear in court for hearings in the case.

Yavapai County authorities had issued three different warrants for Cline. The first was for her failure to appear in court, while the second and third warrants were for theft and fraudulent schemes allegations.
