‘Buffalo Soldiers: The 10th Cavalry Regiment Told Through the Art of David Laughlin’

This exhibit recounts the African American soldiers serving in the Old West. It features Laughlin’s paintings, pen and ink drawings and block prints that detail the 10th Cavalry’s exploits. Admission includes a presentati­on by Buffalo Soldier historical experts from the Greater Southern Arizona Area chapter of the 9th and 10th Horse Cavalry.

Havasu Deuce Days Car Show

The Havasu Deuces present their annual car show that focuses on 1932 Fords but welcomes cars made in 1957 or earlier. Besides hot rods and stock cars there will be food, music and beer.

Red Rock State Park is at the base of the Mogollon Rim. The rim has receded through millions of years of erosion, leaving the picturesqu­e features of Sedona. Join this guided hike to learn how Sedona’s terrain became what it is today. The hike is for beginner and experience­d hikers, lasting 1½-2 hours with an elevation gain of 250 feet.
