Retired medical supply executive buys $7.5M estate in Scottsdale

The retired founder of a medical supply company, a neuroradio­logist and a Kansas car dealership owner were among the buyers and sellers of this week's most expensive homes in metro Phoenix.

John W. Hoffee II of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, paid cash through his trust for a contempora­ry-style mansion with golf course views in Scottsdale’s Estancia community. Hoffee is the retired founder of Profession­al Hospital Supply, Inc., a medical supply distributo­r based in Temecula, California. The company was acquired by Medline Industries, Inc. in 2014.

The single-level home was built in 2019 and has soaring wood inlaid ceilings, a climate-controlled wine storage area and heated radiant flooring in the master bathroom.

There are four bedrooms and five bathrooms in the 6,306-square-foot estate. The house was sold by James Warren, as manager of 215E LLC, an Arizona limited-liability company.

The newly constructe­d mansion is situated on 1.51-acres and has six bedrooms, 61⁄2 bathrooms and 6,337 square feet of living space. The home features floor-to-ceiling windows, a two-way fireplace, marble flooring and a separate guest house. The house was sold by Angel Ramos Ureta, as a managing member of UR Investment­s LLC, an Arizona limited liability company.

Sharon Lee Smith of Norco, California, sold the home through a family trust.

Jeff and Diane Riggs of Denver, Colorado, paid cash for a golf course lot estate in Scottsdale’s Estancia community. Jeff Riggs is the founder and chairman of Essex Financial Group.

The half-acre lot property has mountain views and overlooks the 14th and 15th greens of the Estancia Club golf course. John P. Uglietta, director of neuroradio­logy at SimonMed, sold the home through a living trust.
