Former NFL player sells $3.5M Scottsdale estate

A former NFL player and an orthodonti­st were among the sellers of the most expensive homes in metro Phoenix this week.

Among the luxury features: putting greens, home offices and an outdoor kitchen.

Jay and Colleen Johnson used a family trust to pay cash for a five-acre estate in Fountain Hills’ Firerock community. Jay Johnson is a chief operating officer at loanDepot, an online mortgage lender.

The 9,440-square-foot home features hand-carved cabinetry, his-and-her offices and a golf simulator. Grounds of the estate include a negative edge pool and unobstruct­ed views of Four Peaks and the McDowell mountains.

Francis and Lisa Malecha sold the home through a family trust.

Former Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola, and his wife Yvonne sold their estate in Scottsdale’s Paradise Valley Farms community.

The one-acre estate comes with a modern chef’s kitchen, a swimming pool and a separate farmhouse-style guest house that features reclaimed barn wood and metal.

The 6,039-square-foot residence has seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms and was built in 2016.

Jason and Jo Ann Pond of Scottsdale purchased the home.

An Arizona limited liability company named Project 163, LLC and Norick Investment Company, LLC, an Oklahoma Limited Liability Company, sold the home.

The two-story mansion has mountain views and features a backyard that includes a pool and an outdoor kitchen. There are four bedrooms and six bathrooms in the 5,469-square-foot home.

Geoffrey Glovsky, an orthodonti­st practicing in Gilbert, and his wife Julie sold the home.

Jacque and Laura Vaughn of McLean, Virginia purchased a hillside lot estate with a pool in Paradise Valley’s gated community of Clearwater Hills.

The home has 5,570-square feet of living space, and features vaulted beamed ceilings and wide-plank flooring. Grounds of the one-acre estate include a covered patio and a putting green.

253 Homes, LLC, a Washington limited liability company, sold the home.
