PHOENIX – Nancy J. Corley, daughter of Walter and Clara Doyle, passed away on June 19, 2020 in Phoenix at the age of 84. Nancy was a second generation Phoenician who grew up on her family’s farm in the west valley. She attended Cartwright grade school and graduated from West High.

Nancy’s idyllic childhood and genuine love for family motivated her deeply to devote herself to being the best homemaker and mother she could be. She poured herself into raising her children and loved them well. She had a caregiver’s heart and often stepped forward to care for others in her extended family. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and participating in a variety of league sports such as bowling, golf and tennis.

After her children were raised Nancy began her career with the State of Arizona and retired in December of 1999 as the Human Resources Assistant Director for the Attorney General’s office. Once retired Nancy spent summers at her beloved cabin in Christopher Creek where she could be found playing cards or Rummikub with family or friends nearly every day.

Nancy is survived by her children Kayelen Rolfe and Kevin Corley; her grandsons Brandon and Nathan Corley; and her sisters Shirley Quist and Marlys Arnould; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was laid to rest next to her parents in a private family burial at Green Acres Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held in Christopher Creek or the surrounding area in early fall.
