PHOENIX – Greg McDermott, 60 years young, born in Phoenix, Arizona passed into eternal life peacefully on August 9, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. Greg is survived by his wife, Annette and his daughter, Nicole Cournoyer (Dale). He is also survived by his mother, Paulie DeVoe, five brothers and one sister and spouses, Steve (Diny), Tom (Cathy), Jeff (Bridget), Marc (Joanna), Patrick (Tara) and Suzy (Michael Johnston), along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Greg began his career as a carpenter at McCarthy Constructi­on. He spent 28 years at McCarthy Constructi­on as a Superinten­dent. He was involved with projects such as the Scottsdale Galleria, Motorola Plants, numerous water treatment plants, as well as many other projects. In 2007 Greg joined the DPR Constructi­on family. He was involved with many great projects in Phoenix as well as out of state projects. He was blessed to have been able to work alongside many great DPR people.

He adored his wife, daughter, his family and loved his work. Greg was known for his enthusiasm, positive outlook, and he loved to tell jokes. Greg had an amazing smile and a gift of making people laugh. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. The McDermott family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley for the outstandin­g compassion and care they provided Greg and his family.

Due to current circumstan­ces with Covid 19, funeral services will be private.
