AREA’S PRICIEST HOMES
All of this week’s priciest metro Phoenix home sales are in Scottsdale. Three of the houses are in Desert Mountain, the city’s posh golf-course community.

John and Natalie Lewis of Prosper, Texas, bought a 9,177-square-foot mansion in north Scottsdale's exclusive Silverleaf neighborhood. The house, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms, includes a guest house, sunken wet bar, wine room and retractable glass doors. Lawyer Jon Titus and his wife, Laura, sold the home located in Silverleaf’s upper canyon that comes with unrestricted views of the Valley and the McDowell Mountains.

Naoma Tate, a trustee of Wyoming’s Leakey Foundation and the Buffalo Bill Historical Center, paid cash for a 10,260-square-foot mansion in north Scottsdale’s Desert Mountain. The Spanish Hacienda-style home with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms sits on 4.4 acres. The kitchen has a hearth room, and the family room has a “soaring stone fireplace.”
Paul and Patricia Ellsworth sold the property, which includes a resort-style pool and patio. Karen Baldwin of Russ Lyon Sotheby's International Realty had the listing.

Another Desert Mountain home was purchased by the Ashburn Trust led by Sarah and Philip Ashburn of Danville, California. Sarah Ashburn is senior vice president of Attivo Networks. The new 4,520-square-foot custom home comes with an auto showroom that has an elevator to the home.
The house, with three bedrooms and 31⁄2 bathrooms, was sold by the Pickett Trust, led by Wendell and Debra Pickett. The couple sold another Desert Mountain home for $2.87 million last year. Wendell Pickett is a partner at Greey Pickett, a land planning and landscape architecture firm in Scottsdale.

An award-winning home designed by PHX Architecture's Erik Peterson in Scottsdale was bought by Andrew and Sarah Christian. The house with 5,900square-foot of space has four bedrooms, 41⁄2 bathrooms, chef’s kitchen with two islands and a negative-edge pool.

Wendell and Debra Olson paid cash for a 5,550-square-foot home in Desert Mountain. The listing includes little information about the home. A photo shows a grand piano on a large outdoor patio with views of the Valley. Chemist and inventor Edward Derderian and his wife, Kelly, sold the house.
