GLENDALE – David “Dave” Thomas Caufield, 54, of Glendale, Arizona passed away on February 2, 2021 after a lengthy battle with Covid-19.

David was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Crown Point, Indiana where he spent his youth, graduating from Crown Point High School in 1985. After high school, Dave relocated to Arizona and eventually settled in Glendale, Arizona.

David enjoyed a successful 25-year career with Albertson’s Grocery Stores where he worked as an executive manager in marketing and sales. From there, Dave went on to work as a Store Director for the Sprouts Farmers Market chain. David was known for his entreprene­urial spirit and was beloved by his many friends and coworkers over the course of his career.

Dave loved music, attending sporting events, house boating, and especially spending time with his family. On October 30, 2017 Dave and his long-time partner, Rob Wilbern, were blessed with a beautiful son, Sam, who became the love of their lives. David was a deeply caring and devoted father.

David was a beloved partner, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend to so many. All who met David knew him to be kind, funny, selfless and generous. He loved to laugh and found humor in everything. He brought joy to all those around him.

David was loved deeply by his family and friends. His death creates for all of us a void that will never be filled, but we rejoice and take comfort in knowing that his life was lived fully and with passion. We are so grateful for the years we shared with him.

David is survived by his partner of 20 years, Rob Wilbern; his son Samuel James (age 3); his loving mother JoAnn Caufield of Glendale, Arizona; siblings Scott Caufield (Cindy) of Aurora, Oregon; Lisa Busby (Caufield) of Syracuse, Utah; Leslie Plesac (Caufield) of Valparaiso, Indiana; Christophe­r Caufield of Phoenix, Arizona; nephew Nicholas Caufield of Syracuse, Utah; nieces Angela Thompson (James Anaya) of Canby, Oregon; Jennifer Caufield (Kurt Hansen) of Canby, Oregon; Emily Busby (Brandon Schuff ) of Helena, MT; Haley Hamblin (Braden) of Syracuse, Utah; Lauren Busby of Syracuse Utah; Madeline Jenkins (Tyler) of Raleigh, North Carolina; Natalie Plesac of Indianapol­is, Indiana; along with many loving aunt and uncles, cousins and great nieces and nephews.

BUCKEYE – Janice M. Felt (82) passed away December 2, 2020. She was born and raised in Illinois. She is survived by her dear sister, Lois Kopp from Calumet City, Illinois. Preceded in death by her two brothers, Leroy Cordes and Jerry Cordes whom she adored.

She also is survived by several nieces and nephews and her four closest friends, Robin Gierhart of Buckhorn, New Mexico, Debbie Keller of Surprise, AZ, Carol Sands of Goodyear, AZ and Jocelyn Blaschko of Litchfield Park, AZ.

Her entire career was in the trucking business. While in Arizona she was employed by Systems 99, Yellow Freight, AZ Express, TNT Bestway and ABF where she retired. Every time she saw an ABF truck on the road she would give a thumbs up and say “keep on trucking.”

For many years she was a member of Teamsters Union and was an avid union company supporter.

Janice enjoyed traveling the world. She enjoyed going to Las Vegas and playing the slots. She enjoyed spending time at the ranch in New Mexico with Robin and Jim Gierhart, their children and family. She had a vacation home in Rocky Point, Mexico for over 25 years and loved the beach. Her dear neighbors in Rocky Point, Mexico were Margie and Dave Poturalski, their five sons and families. She enjoyed the many visits with all her neighbors on the beach.

Janice was extremely generous and loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Due to the current restrictio­ns, a celebratio­n of life will be privately held.

Janice considered Jocelyn Blaschko as an adopted daughter and adored her daughter, Brynlee Kaufman. Brynlee has spent extensive time in Phoenix Children’s Hospital and because of this Janice has donated annually to Phoenix Children’s Hospital in Brynlee Kaufman’s name.

Donations may be made at Phoenix Children’s hospital in Janice’s name.
