Hurricanes 3, PANTHERS 2 (OT): Martin Necas scored 1:59 into overtime and the Hurricanes beat the Panthers 3-2 on Monday night. Brett Pesce and Vincent Trochek also scored for the Hurricanes, who won at Florida for the second time in three days. Frank Vatrano and Eetu Loustarine­n scored in the third period to give Florida the lead, and Chris Driedger finished with 24 saves.

Senators 5, Flames 1: Drake Batherson scored twice, giving him six straight games with a goal, and the Ottawa Senators beat the Calgary Flames 5-1 on Monday night. Evgenii Dadanov and Thomas Chabot also scored for the Senators (8-15-1), and Colin White had an emptynet goal. Tim Stutzle contribute­d two assists to help Ottawa (8-15-1) win for the fourth time in five games.

Canucks 4, JETS 0: Thatcher Demko stopped 27 shots for his first career shutout as the Canucks scored three goals in the first period and beat the Jets 4-0 Monday. Nate Schmidt, J.T. Miller and Nils Hoglander scored early to help the Canucks end a four losing streak (0-3-1).

Maple Leafs at OILERS, late: The Oilers have gone 14-9-0 against division oppo

nents. Edmonton is fifth in the NHL averaging 3.4 goals per game. The Maple Leafs are 16-4-2 in division play. Toronto is second in the NHL averaging 3.6 goals per game.

Wild at GOLDEN KNIGHTS, late:

The Golden Knights are 12-4-1 in division games. Vegas is ninth in the NHL averaging 5.4 assists per game. The Wild are 12-6-0 against the rest of their division. Minnesota has scored 57 goals and is 10th in the NHL averaging 3.2 goals per game.

Blues at DUCKS, late:

The Ducks are 6-10-5 against opponents in the West Division. Anaheim is last in the NHL averaging just 3.2 assists per game. The Blues are 11-8-2 against the rest of their division. St. Louis has converted on 12.5% of power-play opportunit­ies, recording eight power-play goals.

Avalanche at SHARKS, late: The Sharks are 7-9-2 against division opponents. San Jose averages 9.0 penalty minutes per game, the ninth-most in the league. The Avalanche are 11-6-1 against the rest of their division. Colorado ranks 10th in the NHL averaging 5.3 assists per game, led by Nathan MacKinnon with 0.9.
