SUN CITY WEST – Stephen (Steve) Pilliod, 60 of Sun City West, AZ formerly of Akron, OH peacefully passed away at home with his wife by his side on December 2.

Steve was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil to Charles and Marie Pilliod. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time golfing, hiking, reading, biking in the beautiful desert, enjoying all the wonders of the west and playing with the family dogs.

Steve’s smile, kindness and gentle demeanor will always be remembered and greatly missed by all the lives he touched. He was truly an amazing man.

Steve was a longtime employee of The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He remained in the tire industry for most of his career.

In addition to his wife Judi of 36 years, Steve is survived by Nancy (stepmother), Chris and Renee (sisters), Chuck and Mark (brothers) as well as in-laws, nieces, nephews and the beloved family dogs Murphy, Snowflake and Jeeter.

Steve’s celebratio­n of life will be held in Arizona on Sunday March 28th. All friends and family are welcome to join us to honor Steve and reflect. For details, please email JPilliod@outlook.com.

GLENDALE – Linda Tanton, age 87 of Glendale, Arizona passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 with family by her side. Linda was born in 1933 and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, Arizona. She worked for many years at the Arizona Motor Vehicle Department until retirement. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband O.A. “Stretch” Tanton and son Daniel Brooks Tanton.

“Granny” as many in her family knew her by loved watching sports. When able Granny was always an avid participan­t in every game she could join in.

Linda is survived by her brother George Zien; daughters Debbie (Rob) Freund and Julie (Michael) Bates; sons David (Nicole) Tanton and Tim (Mary) Tanton. Granny to 10 grandchild­ren; Andrew, Cassi, Ryan, Brooke, Carly, Jamie, Kyle, Taylor, Connor, and Chaz and 7 great-grandchild­ren; Tyler, Tanner, Autumn, Harper, Brooke, Chloe and Lylah Marie.

In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Mary’s Food Bank would be greatly appreciate­d.

A private Graveside Service will be held by the family.
