Junk in the Trunk returns
The vintage market’s semiannual sale is back this weekend in Scottsdale for its 10th year after being canceled twice last year due to the pandemic.
A metro Phoenix favorite shopping event for vintage and local artisanal goods is returning to Scottsdale for its 10th year.
Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market will take over WestWorld of Scottsdale on April 23-25. Friday will be dedicated to a VIP shopping event ($40) from 4 to 9 p.m., and general admission is available Saturday and Sunday.
Organizers canceled the market last April and September, when it usually takes place, due to COVID-19. Now, 130 vendors are coming back to Scottsdale to sell merchandise, such as:
• “Clean” candles.
• Luxury lingerie.
Handcrafted woodwork.
• Vintage home décor.
• Handmade hair pins, jewelry and other accessories.
• Vintage apparel.
This September will mark Junk in the Trunk’s 10th anniversary, according to co-founders Coley Arnold and Lindsey Holt.
What to know about Junk in the Trunk
Masks are required for all attendees. Other COVID-19 safety measures include an enhanced air filtration system, increased sanitation and limited capacity.
Parking at West World of Scottsdale is $10.
Admission prices are as follows:
• Friday, April 23: VIP event is $40.
• Saturday, April 24: Early entry (810 a.m.) is $25; general admission (10 a.m.-3 p.m.) is $8.
• Sunday, April 25: General admission is $8.
Because WestWorld also is a COVID-19 vaccination site, shoppers should enter from Bell Road and head south on 94th Street. Junk in the Trunk is in the North Hall; an area for picking up large items is reserved next door.

Junk in the Trunk’s brick-and-mortar locations
There are other ways to shop Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market outside of the semiannual event.
There is a pop-up market at Scottsdale Quarter, a permanent store in Phoenix called The Vintage Arcadia and an online marketplace.
The Scottsdale pop-up will remain in Scottsdale Quarter, located at 15059 N. Scottsdale Road, Suite 170, until the end of May, according to the owners. The 2,000-square-foot space is on the west end of the Quad, across from True Food Kitchen.
The Vintage Arcadia, at 4418 E. Osborn Road in Phoenix, “is filled with curated gifts, home décor, artisan goods and one of a kind vintage and antiques,” according to its website.
The online store is stocked with more than 1,000 items from artisans and merchants.
