REDS 12, Phillies 4: Nick Castellano hit a grand slam in the seventh inning and drove in a career-high seven runs for Cincinnati. Cincinnati’s seventh-inning rally was sparked by Alejo Lopez, who pinch-hit with one out and singled on the first pitch.

NATIONALS 8, Mets 4:

Kyle Schwarber homered twice, becoming the first player in major league history to hit 15 home runs in a 17-day span. Schwarber socked a fastball from Jared Eickhoff an estimated 439 feet into the upper deck in right field in the first inning.

Angels 5, YANKEES 3: Shohei Ohtani pounded his hardest-hit home run of the season, and José Suarez pitched

51⁄3 innings of one-run relief after Dylan Bundy threw up on the mound because of heat exhaustion.

CLEVELAND 13, Tigers 5: José Ramírez homered and drove in five runs, Austin Hedges had a two-run shot and Cleveland won. Ramírez connected for a three-run drive in the fourth inning off rookie Matt Manning (1-2).

RED SOX 6, Royals 5: Hunter Renfroe homered twice, the second a 434-foot solo shot over the Green Monster to break a sixth-inning tie and help Boston rally from a four-run deficit.

Orioles at ASTROS, late: Houston has hit 103 home runs this season, sixth in the American League. Jose Altuve leads the team with 17. The Orioles are 12-28 on the road.

Cubs at BREWERS, late: Milwaukee ranks last in the National League in hitting with a .215 batting average. Omar Narvaez leads the club with an average of .301. The Cubs are 19-14 in division matchups.

CARDINALS 7, Diamondbac­ks 1: Paul DeJong homered to cap a six-run burst in the seventh inning for St. Louis. The Diamondbac­ks, who have won just once on the road since April 25, have lost 22 of 24 overall.

Giants at DODGERS, late: Los Angeles’ team on-base percentage of .333 leads the National League. Max Muncy leads the team with an OBP of .406. The Giants are 20-11 against the rest of their division.

Twins at WHITE SOX, ppd.: The opener of a scheduled four-game series was postponed because of rain. The teams will play a doublehead­er on July 19.
