PEORIA – John (Jack) Armour, 91, of Peoria, Arizona, passed away on June 27, 2021, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Jack was born in Bayonne, New Jersey to John K. and Julia A. Armour on November 2, 1929. He married Vivian E. Armour, his Partner and best friend of 63 years, who passed on September 7, 2014. He attended Rutgers University and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Jack spent 47 years in airport operations as an Aviation Consultant, 14 years as Director of Operations at Boston Logan airport and 10 years as Director of Operations at Denver Stapleton airport. John and Vivian moved to Arizona in 1997 and were active members of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. Jack was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 61 years, and a Grand Knight 2007/2008, and Chaired the Finance Council for 8.5 years of St. Elizabeth Seton Parish. Jack was president of the Lion’s Club Denver, and Chairman of the American Associatio­n of Airport Executives. Jack and Vivian traveled the world representi­ng American Aviation Interests.

John is survived by his daughter Diane Culbert, his granddaugh­ter Shaina and two great grandchild­ren: Sophia and Toren Jack McNeill and many nieces. Death takes the body. God takes the soul. Our mind holds the memories, Our heart keeps the love. Our faith lets us know we will all meet again. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on July 6, 2021, at 10:00 a.m., St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 9728 West Palmeras Drive, Sun City, Arizona 85379.

Burial to follow at Holy Redeemer Catholic Cemetery, 23015 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024. Please deliver all flowers to Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home by 8:00 a.m. July 6, 2021.
