Giants 15, CUBS 4: Tommy La Stella and Brandon Belt each hit three-run homers, and San Francisco pounded Chicago for its sixth straight win. La Stella finished with three hits, including a double and five RBIs.

Rangers 8, ATHLETICS 6: Jonah Heim hit a two-run home run with two outs in the eighth, lifting Texas past Oakland. Heim’s home run was the first by the Rangers in five games.

Blue Jays 11, ORIOLES 10 (7, Game 1): George Springer hit a two-out, two-run homer in the seventh inning to give Toronto a victory over Baltimore in the first game of a doublehead­er.

Blue Jays 11, ORIOLES 2 (7, Game 2): Bo Bichette and Alejandro Kirk hit a pair of two-run homers in an 11-run seventh, and Toronto tied team records for an inning with the 11 runs, 11 hits and four homers.

PHILLIES 6, Rockies 1: Zack Wheeler steadied the slumping Phillies with eight strikeouts and Bryce Harper homered to lead Philadelph­ia over Colorado. The Phillies snapped a four-game losing streak.

Rays 7, TIGERS 2: Joey Wendle tripled and homered, Dietrich Enns won for the first time in the major leagues and Tampa Bay beat Detroit. Kevin Kiermaier doubled and tripled for the Rays.

Brewers 3, CLEVELAND 0: Milwaukee ace Corbin Burnes combined with reliever Josh Hader to pitch baseball’s record ninth no-hitter this season, breaking a mark set when pitchers began throwing overhand in 1884.

PIRATES 10, Nationals 7: Bryan Reynolds hit his 23rd home run of the season and drove in three runs as Pittsburgh surged past Washington. Kyle Keller (1-1) earned the win.

Angels 4, ASTROS 2: Luis Rengifo homered with three RBIs to lead Los Angeles over Houston. David Fletcher and Shohei Ohtani hit consecutiv­e singles to start the game before Fletcher scored on a double by Jared Walsh.

TWINS 9, Royals 2: Jorge Polanco hit two of Minnesota’s five home runs, Michael Pineda pitched five strong innings in his return to the rotation and the Twins beat Kansas City.

Red Sox 9, WHITE SOX 8 (10): Travis Shaw hit a tiebreakin­g single in the 10th inning after belting a three-run homer in the third and Boston beat Chicago.

CARDINALS 6, Reds 4: Nolan Arenado hit a two-run homer in the eighth and had three RBIs and Paul DeJong had a solo shot to help St. Louis beat Cincinnati. The Cardinals gained a game on the Reds in the NL wild-card race.

Marlins 6, BRAVES 4: Bryan De La Cruz and Jesús Sánchez hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth inning against Richard Rodríguez, lifting Miami over Atlanta. The Marlins snapped Atlanta’s four-game winning streak in the series.

Yankees 8, METS 7: Aaron Judge tied it with his second homer of the game in the eighth inning, Mets infielder Javier Báez gave away the lead with an error and the Yankees beat the Mets.

Padres at DODGERS, late: Julio Urías pitched seven shutout innings for his major league-leading 17th victory, Max Muncy slugged a two-run homer and Los Angeles beat San Diego 3-0 on Friday night to snap a two-game skid.

D-backs at MARINERS, late: Tom Murphy hit a two-run home run in the second inning and added a solo shot in the sixth, and Seattle beat Arizona 5-4 on Friday night.
