Durant, Harden power Nets’ win

Nets 96, Pistons 90: Kevin Durant had 29 points and 10 rebounds, James Harden added a triple-double and Brooklyn extended its winning streak to four games with a road victory over Detroit on Friday night.

Durant shook off a poor shooting night by hitting three straight Brooklyn baskets down the stretch. He became the first player in Nets history to score at least 20 points in the first nine games of a season, despite finishing 12 of 27 from the field.

LaMarcus Aldridge added 16 points for Brooklyn (6-3), while Harden had 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Harden also had nine turnovers and finished 0 for 5 from inside the arc. He became the fifth player in NBA history with a triple-double and no 2-point baskets, joining Jason Kidd, Delon Wright, Steve Blake and Kirk Hinrich.

Cade Cunningham had 17 points for Detroit (1-8), while Kelly Olynyk added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Wizards 115, Grizzlies 87: Bradley Beal scored 17 points, one of seven Washington players in double figures, and the Wizards routed visiting Memphis.

The Wizards held Memphis to 35% shooting from the field. Washington led 60-47 at halftime and went on a 23-6 run during the third quarter that broke the game open.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 13 points and Ja Morant added 11.

Montrezl Harrell had 18 points and eight rebounds for Washington. Daniel Gafford and Raul Neto had 15 apiece.

Spurs 102, Magic 89: Dejounte Murray had 20 points and 11 rebounds and San Antonio frustrated host Orlando with its opportunis­tic defense in a win.

The Magic had nine of their 18 turnovers in the fourth, with San Antonio’s withstandi­ng Orlando’s charge within seven points with five minutes to play.

Keldon Johnson added 20 points and nine rebounds to help San Antonio improve to 3-6.

Cole Anthony had 21 points, nine rebounds and six assists for Orlando.

Knicks 113, Bucks 98: Julius Randle had 32 points and 12 rebounds, and New York erased an early 21-point deficit and beat host Milwaukee.

Derrick Rose had 23 points off the bench and RJ Barrett added 20 as the

Knicks stunned the reigning NBA champions on their home court.

Giannis Antetokoun­mpo scored 25 points for Milwaukee and Grayson Allen had a season-high 22.

The Bucks, who snapped a threegame losing streak in a rout of the Pistons in Detroit on Tuesday, jumped out to a commanding early lead.

Milwaukee connected on four 3pointers out of the gate and made eight long-range shots overall to take a 38-17 advantage after one quarter. Allen had 14 points and four rebounds in the opening period to pace the Bucks, who shot 50% from deep.

New York were just 3 of 16 from 3point range in the first quarter.

The Bucks got a boost with the return of Jrue Holiday, who had missed five consecutiv­e games with a sprained left ankle. Holiday didn’t start but entered the game midway through the first quarter.

Cavaliers 102, Raptors 101: Darius Garland made a pair of free throws with 4.8 seconds remaining, and visiting Cleveland rallied to beat the Raptors, ending Toronto’s winning streak at five games.

Garland scored 21 points, Jarrett Allen had 16 points and 15 rebounds, and Evan Mobley scored 18 for the Cavs, who had lost their previous six games at Toronto.

OG Anunoby scored 23 points but missed a jump shot in the final seconds that would have won it for the Raptors.

Cedi Osman scored 17 points for the Cavaliers and Ricky Rubio had 11.

Fred VanVleet scored 18 points, Gary Trent Jr. had 17 and Barnes scored 14 for the Raptors, who led by 15 points early in the third quarter.

Clippers 104, Timberwolv­es 84: Paul George had 21 points and 11 rebounds, Reggie Jackson scored 14 of his 20 points in the second half, and visiting Los Angeles rallied from a 20-point deficit to beat Minnesota.

Ivica Zubac had 14 points and 14 rebounds for Los Angeles, which also won at Minnesota on Wednesday night. The Clippers have won three straight after losing four of their first five.

Karl-Anthony Towns had 20 points and Anthony Edwards added 17 for the Timberwolv­es, who have lost five of six. Malik Beasley finished with 18 points off the bench for Minnesota, which shot 35.2% from the field and had 22 turnovers.
