PHOENIX – Phillip Andrews Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and “friendly bug man” passed away on November 15, 2021 at the age of 74 surrounded by family. A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, November 29th at Arrowhead Memorial Gardens.

Phillip was born on December 14th, 1946 in Mercedes, Texas to Louis and Virginia (Pernice) Andrews. He was employed by Safeway for 30 years from which he retired to attain his dream of becoming a business owner in the pest control industry. Phillip established Falcon Pest Control, LLC in 2007, where he formed personable relationships with many clients who later became friends.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Cheryl Yvonne Andrews; his children, Lisa and Troy Albright, Phillip and Patty Andrews, and stepsons Michael and Jason Thompson; brother-in-law Tom Ferrante; his many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Virginia and Louis Andrews; loving siblings Louis Andrews and Theresa Ferrante.

Phillip was raised in Kansas City, Missouri by a close-knit Italian family and was very proud of his heritage. He moved from Missouri in the middle of a snowstorm to sunny Arizona in February of 1973. He never missed the snow but always missed his family.

Phillip enjoyed spending time with his family, being in his backyard, sitting around the fireplace, cooking, and drinking black coffee daily. He had a great love for his birds, Eno and Sassy, who could always be found on his shoulder. Phillip was the epitome of strength, love, and compassion, all of which could be seen in his final days. He was the main pillar of his family, and the world became less bright with his passing.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Little Tiny Tony’s Project. Please visit hansenmortuary.com for online condolences.
