Gerald “Jerry” Joseph Little was born on July 23, 1927 in Ebensburg, PA and passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2021. Jerry was predecease­d by his wife, Patricia, his brothers Leonard, James and Jack. He is survived by his five children, eight grandchild­ren, five great grandchild­ren and by his sister Delores.

At the age of 18, Jerry joined the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in Japan. After he was honorably discharged from the Navy he returned to Ebensburg and went to work for Mountain Bell Telephone Company climbing telephone poles in the frigid winters of Pennsylvan­ia. Jerry met the love of his life, Patricia Byrne and they married in 1955. Wanting to leave the wintry weather, Jerry, Pat and their five children moved to sunny Arizona in 1970. He continued working for Mountain Bell until he retired in the early 1980’s.

In retirement, Jerry and Pat traveled the world and were very active in their community, making friends everywhere they went. Jerry has been very involved in woodworkin­g for the past thirty years and has made many woodworkin­g gifts that every family member will forever cherish. Jerry was kind and helpful to all, had a great love of life and a wonderful sense of humor right up to the end. He will be deeply missed.

A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 29, 2021 at St. George’s Catholic Church, 300 E. 16th Avenue, Apache Junction followed by a Celebratio­n of Life at Sunland Village East (Baseline Road & Farnsworth Drive) in the Mesa Verde Room beginning at 1 p.m.
