CHANDLER – Robert “Bob” Hazen, 83, of Chandler, AZ passed away November 22 in his home with his family by his side. Bob was born December 4, 1937 in Beaver Falls, PA. He graduated from Beaver Falls High School and was employed at J &L Steel Company in the tin mill Aliquippa PA for 30+ years. Bob served for 3 yrs in the Army National Guard of PA and was honorably discharged in 1962.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Caryn Bajo and his son Dr. Donald Hazen and his wife Anne: Four grand-daughters, Hannah (Anthony) Calvis, Lexi Hazen, Alyssa Bajo, Aubri Hazen and four greatgrand­children, Ellie Rose, Thomas and James Calvis. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie Hazen. In addition to his extended family he will be greatly missed by his many friends in his adopted home in AZ of 31 years, especially by his good friend Mrs. Sandy Bivins of Chandler AZ.

Bob, together with Rose created a blissful, happy life in Beaver Falls with their 2 children, many family and friends. They were infamously known for hosting some of the best holiday parties in western PA. Besides his job as a Master Electricia­n in the mill, he was a “master” of volunteeri­ng his time both in PA and in AZ. He was a volunteer fireman and a board member for the Big Beaver Falls School district for 10 yrs. In AZ he was a volunteer at the Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually impaired and at the American Legion Post 44 of Scottsdale.

Funeral services for Robert Hazen will be held Dec. 5th from 8 -10 am at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E Indian School Rd. Scottsdale AZ. Interment will be held afterwards at Paradise Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to Hospice of the Valley.
