Paradise Valley mansion with man cave sells for $6.45 million

A 700-square-foot wine cellar, a waterfall kitchen counter and a fully shaded patio with a bar were among the features of last week’s priciest home sales in metro Phoenix.

North Dakota-based DLH Property Holdings LLC bought a 9,489-squarefoot Paradise Valley mansion. The home with five bedrooms and 7 bathrooms also comes with several disappeari­ng walls of glass, a swimming pool with floating zero-edge sides, a swim-up bar, an outside barbeque kitchen with a pizza oven, a man cave, a theater and a 700-square-foot wine cellar.

The Jacob and Alona Kost Trust sold the home. Russ Lyon Sotheby’s Internatio­nal Realty agents Michel Edery, Frank Aazami, Jessica Jablonski and Geoffrey Jablonski brokered the sale.

Real estate executive Clyde Holland of Washington purchased a 6,288-squarefoot home in north Scottsdale’s Silverleaf community. The French-style house with five bedrooms and 5 bathrooms comes with Cantera stone fireplaces, marble waterfall kitchen counters, two Bosch dishwasher­s, a huge laundry room and a temperatur­e-controlled wine wall.

The Priest & Norman Trust was the seller.

$5,950,000

EK AZ LLC of Chicago paid cash for a new 6,751-square-foot Paradise Valley house with four bedrooms and 4 bathrooms in a guard-gated community. The Santa Barbara-style home comes with an office, an exercise room, a four-car garage, a formal dining area

with two wine towers and a bar. The HG 100 LLC led by Zacher Brothers Investment­s sold the property.

$4,938,000

Jennifer and William Hoge paid cash for a 7,022-square-foot home with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms in north Scottsdale’s DC Ranch community. There is a gourmet kitchen with two islands, an office, two family rooms and a five-car garage.

Zach Penn was the seller.

$4,350,000

Woodrow and Angela Weld paid cash for a 4,014-squre-foot home in north Scottsdale that comes with three bedrooms and four bathrooms. Woodrow Weld is CEO of Acme Lift Co. The modern house with a resort-style backyard was designed by KENTarchit­ects. The front patio has a fire feature. The back patio is fully shaded and has a bar.
