Phoenix to Frankfurt, Germany, non-stop flights to resume May 21
Here’s good news for travelers headed to Europe: After a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Condor airline is resuming its nonstop flights from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to Frankfurt, Germany.
The route, which will operate two days a week from May through September, will begin May 21. Other direct transcontinental flights from Phoenix include British Airways service to London’s Heathrow Airport. American Airlines plans to resume its Heathrow flights in April.
Prior to the pandemic, Condor saw strong demand for its nonstop seasonal service from Phoenix to Frankfurt. As reported by The Arizona Republic in 2019, the airline flew almost 18,000 passengers from Phoenix in 2018. Most of these were retirees and students from local universities traveling to Europe.
When does the Phoenix-Frankfurt flight operate?
The airport said flights will operate Thursdays and Saturdays. The Frankfurt flight departs at 3:30 p.m. and arrives in Phoenix at 6:35 p.m. The Phoenix flight departs at 8:45 p.m. and arrives in Frankfurt at 4:50 p.m. the next day.
What does ticket include?
The Phoenix-Frankfurt flight flies a Boeing 767-300ER with more than 250 seats. Every ticket includes checked baggage, beverages, meals and in-flight entertainment at each seat.
