Jackie Susan Bukey

PHOENIX – Jackie’s life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. On March 23, 2022, Jackie was given her angel wings.

Jackie was a very compassionate person in so many aspects of her life. She volunteered her time to work with various bird rescues and sanctuaries. She also helped those in need from the homeless to friends, and family that were stricken with terminal illnesses. She would always take the time to talk to those in need and return to bring items they may have requested during their conversations. Additionally, she would be the first to make a family meal and the last to sit down to enjoy it. She always put others ahead of herself… always. It most likely would be impossible to meet someone who did not like or love Jackie. She was a special lady, and all that met her would agree.

Many of you have seen her posts on Facebook about her Irish heritage, whimsical expressions, and family vacations. She would try to share a sweet sentiment or uplifting expressions. Jackie was also an amazing baker…NOT. Burnt bread was her specialty.

Aside from that, Jackie enjoyed spending time at the cabin, hanging out in the camper trailer, visiting with the family & friends during each holiday or vacations, attending various music concerts, and cuddling with her dogs on the couch watching her favorite tv series or movies. Most importantly Jackie was a terrific mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, mother-in-law, friend and especially a wife.

Her husband, children, grandchildren, great grand babies, family, friends and 3 little dogs were her life. There was never a day that went by she didn’t brag or talk about all her beautiful babies.

Jackie is survived by her loving husband Dan McFarland, her two children, Tim Coker, Jenny Coker Richardson, 4 grandkids Madeline (26), Rhiannon (24), Keaton (23), Shaylee (19), twin great grandbabies Millie & Toni (10 months) all from Phoenix AZ, her older brother John Bukey (Santee, CA) & Judy Thompson (IA) and her 3 fur-babies (Holly, Annie, and Jazzie). She is preceded in life by her parents Charles & Arlene Bukey and her other older brother Jimmy Bukey.

In lieu of flowers, it would mean a lot to Jackie to donate to any of the following organizations. Please contact Hospice of the Valley, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, World Vision, or Hassayampa River Preserve. A donation to any of these organizations would make her smile. Please visit hansenmortuary. com for online condolences.
