Astros: RHP Jake Odorizzi was placed on the 15-day IL with lower leg discomfort. He left Monday’s game on a stretcher after he collapsed awkwardly after throwing the final pitch of the fifth inning. RHP Seth Martinez was recalled from Triple-A (Sugar Land) to take his place on the active roster. Odorizzi had an MRI on the leg, but the team hasn’t disclosed the specific injury.

Braves: LHP Tyler Matzek went on the injured list, retroactiv­e to May 14, with left shoulder inflammati­on. “He’ll be shut down for a couple of weeks, and then we’ll re-evaluate him and see where he’s at,” manager Brian Snitker said.

Brewers: SS Willy Adames felt better Tuesday than he did Monday, raising hope that he could avoid a trip to the injured list as he recovers from a sprained left ankle. Manager Craig Counsell said Adames isn’t expected to play Wednesday or in Friday’s series opener against Washington. “I just want to feel stronger and get to a position where I know I can give my best out there and not just play to be playing,” Adames said. … OF Andrew McCutchen rejoined the team Tuesday after a bout with COVID-19 that caused him to spend a week in an Atlanta hotel room. He remained out of the lineup.

Mets: OF Starling Marte was placed on the bereavemen­t list following the death of his grandmothe­r. … RHP Jacob deGrom had a follow-up MRI on Monday that showed progressiv­e healing of the stress reaction in his right scapula. The team said he will continue to ramp up his throwing. … RHP Steve Nogosek was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse and RHP Adonis Medina was added as the 27th player for the doublehead­er. … Pitcher Jake Reed was optioned to Triple-A between games, and INF Gosuke Katoh was promoted.

Tigers: RHP Michael Pineda will not need surgery on his fractured right middle finger, which will be placed in a splint for 2-3 weeks and then be reevaluate­d.
