Here is the Week 8 Arizona Republic high school football player of the week, along with the next 14 best from across the state.

Top 15 Players of the Week

1. Navi Bruzon, Peoria Liberty, QB, Jr.

In a 35-7 win over previously No. 2ranked and unbeaten Chandler Basha, he threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns, completing 17 of 20 passes and no intercepti­ons. He has thrown 16 TD passes and no intercepti­ons, completing 81.4% of his passes in Liberty’s 5-0 start. He also ran for 46 yards and a score against Basha, as the Lions built a 35-0 lead.

2. Ca’lil Valentine, Chandler, RB, Jr. He ran for 226 yards and three TDs on 17 carries and caught two passes for 33 yards in a 40-21 rout of previously unbeaten Queen Creek Casteel.

3. Chace Logan, Tonopah Valley, QB, Sr.

Coming back from an injury, he completed 37 of 46 passes for 502 yards and

six TDs in a 55-28 win over Kingman Academy that improved the team to 6-1.

4. Devon Dampier, Scottsdale Saguaro, QB, Sr.

In a 42-18 win over Goodyear Desert Edge, he ran for 96 yards and two TDs and passed for 147 yards.

5. Hank Stabler, Surprise Paradise Honors, WR/LB, Sr.

In a 50-20 win over American Leadership

West Foothills, he caught four TD passes and had 12 tackles.

6. Deyon Bradley, Phoenix Moon Valley, RB, Sr.

In a 58-6 win over Phoenix Maryvale, he carried the ball 12 times for 95 yards and three TDs, had a 62-yard kickoff return for a score, and a 52-yard punt return for a TD.

7. Adam Mohammed, Glendale Apollo, RB/DB, Jr.

He ran 15 times for 132 yards and three TDs, had a 95-yard kickoff return for a score and had four solo tackles and four assisted tackles on defense in a 49-20 win over Phoenix Barry Goldwater.

8. Colin Tibbs, Buckeye Verrado, WR/DB, Sr.

He fueled a 20-18 win over previously unbeaten Yuma Catholic with two touchdown catches and six tackles, an intercepti­on and a forced fumble.

9. Brendan Anderson, Glendale Mountain Ridge, QB, Sr.

He was 28 of 38 passing for 290 yards and four TDs and ran for a score in a 45-6 win over Phoenix North.

10. Layne Dickens, Avondale St. John Paul II, RB, Jr.

He helped the team win its first game of the season, beating Mountainsi­de 3420, with 172 yards, including a 99-yard score, and three TDs on eight carries.

11. Tristen Sanchez, Morenci, TE/DL, Jr.

In a 64-13 2A victory at Gilbert San Tan Charter, he caught a touchdown pass and had 12 tackles, four for losses, 3.5 sacks and a safety.

12. Damian Jiles, Glendale Cactus, RB, Sr.

In a 47-20 rout of rival Peoria, he ran 28 times for 202 yards and five TDs.

13. Jonathan Rojo, Heritage Academy Laveen, RB, Sr.

He carried 15 times for 142 yards and four TDS in a 50-0 win over Phoenix Cortez that improved the team to 5-2. The school had never won more than two games in any of its first five previous seasons competing in the Arizona Interschol­astic Associatio­n.

14. Ashton Kamp, Phoenix Northwest Christian, QB, Sr.

In a 31-28 win over Flagstaff Coconino, he came in after an injury to starter Judah Huisman and passed for 197 yards and a TD, completing 22 of 30, and ran for 65 yards and two TDs on 11 carries.

15. Rudy Gonzalez, Winslow, DT, Jr.

He had five sacks in a 20-18 win over Page.
