CHANDLER – Lyn Russell passed away peacefully on the evening of October 5, 2022, at Dobson Home Hospice of the Valley, in Chandler AZ. Her husband of fifty years, Gary was with her. She was the daughter of Adrian and Marion Ouellette, residents of Jamaica Plain, MA. Lyn attended Holy Trinity High School and after graduation attended the Faulkner school of Nursing. After graduation in 1969 she entered the USAF as a 2nd Lt. and was stationed to Williams AFB in Chandler AZ. There she met and induced her future husband Gary to steal an ambulance so she could practice her driving. That led to a fifty plus year marriage and travel about the country until finally settling back in Chandler in 1982. She worked for the Maricopa County Hospital as a Post-Partum Head Nurse and later as an NICU Care Manager for 28 years before retiring in 2010. Lyn is survived by three children, Casey Russell, and her husband Roy Maskell their two children Aidan and Ben, Kelly DeHart and her children Anthony, Jordan, Sophia and Olivia, and Michael and his wife Belinda and their children Maxwell and Lillian. Lyn is also sister to Adrianne and husband Neil Carr, Yvonne and the late Andrew Murray, Connie Ouellette and the late Fred Rodgers, Barry and wife Cheri Ouellette, Cindy Ouellette and husband Michael Stetkiewic­z, Bill Ouellette and husband Bill Waring, and 10 nieces and nephews. Back in the day, Lyn was a great fan of the Boston nightclub, Your Father’s Mustache, and over time and distance she remained true to her Boston sports teams. A celebrated storytelle­r among those who knew her, Lyn’s favorite subjects were her grandchild­ren whom she fiercely loved.
