Woman fatally shot in Pinal County home

The Pinal County Sheriff ’s Office was looking for a man suspected of fatally shooting his wife Monday night at a home in the area of Padilla Road and Maricopa Road near Stanfield.

At about 9 p.m. a child called 911 and said that a family member had been shot by her husband and was dying, according to the Pinal County Sheriff ’s Office.

The 30-year-old woman died.

The Sheriff’s Office named Ismael Ortega Hernandez, 32, as the suspect.

The Sheriff’s Office said he ran away from the home, and his phone was found in the area.

Ortega Hernandez is between 5 feet, 5 inches tall and 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a thin build and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants.

He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to the Sheriff ’s Office.

Anyone with informatio­n on his whereabout­s was asked to call 911 or the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office.
