SCOTTSDALE – Susanne Jane (McMillan) Fox, beloved wife, mother and grandmothe­r, passed away at her home in Scottsdale, on February 17, 2023, at the age of 88 years. She was born on February 6, 1935, in Riverside, California to James and Avis (Babcock) McMillan.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Manley “Skip” Fox, sons Martin (Doreen) Fox, of Show Low, Tracy Fox, of Cincinnati, Nelson Fox of Scottsdale, and daughter, Dayna (David) Birmingham, of Mesa, five grandchild­ren: Martin, Misty, Matthew, Michael, Danielle and twin great-granddaugh­ters, KateLynn and Carley and her sister, Barbara (McMillan) Walker of Mesa.

She graduated from Poly High School in 1952 and attended Riverside City College and was working as a telephone switchboar­d operator when she met the love of her life. She and Manley were married the day after Thanksgivi­ng with family and friends, on November 26, 1954 in Riverside, California. Then they moved to Scottsdale where Manley had accepted a job.

She was a homemaker, raised her four children and worked for several years as the manager of the Men’s department at the Broadway near her home. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting, traveling and bowling in a local league. She enjoyed entertaini­ng and planned parties and reunions for her family and friends. Sue was a charter member of the first chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Scottsdale and was active for over 60 years.

A viewing will be held at 2 PM followed by the service at 3 PM, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Messenger Indian School Mortuary, Scottsdale. She will be buried with a graveside service in the family plot in her hometown of Riverside, California
