Aurora Jimenez Herrera (Bolie), born April 25th to Maria & Francisco Jimenez, has passed peacefully with her family on February 21, 2023. She was born and raised in Miami, AZ the 3rd child of 7; with 1 sister and 5 brothers.

Thanks to her brother Frank, she met her soulmate Ernesto Herrera and they wed on January 15, 1955. They built their life together in Miami; he worked in the mines and she managed the household and raised their 4 children: Ernesto Jr, George, Aurora and Linda.

The driving force of her life centered around her Catholic faith. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament church in Miami, AZ her whole life. Bolie faithfully attended Mass and prayed the Rosary; when she could no longer attend in person she still watched daily!

You would consistently find her grandchildren spending countless hours with their Nana and Tata. Her loving and generous nature was evident to family, friends and strangers alike. Everyone was welcomed and loved by Bolie! She loved to crochet, making blankets and beanies for her family. She also made hundreds of beanies & booties for elderly and sick infants; earning her recognition from Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Red Heart yarn for her humanitarian work.

Bolie lived in her home in Miami until just recently. She loved receiving calls & visitors, watching mass, crocheting, enjoying a telenovela & cafesito, watering her plants, feeding the hummingbirds and spending time with her little dogs. She especially loved caring for others! Even through her final weeks, she was offering to help and trying to make life easier for someone else.

She was reunited in heaven at last with her honey, Ernesto and her boys, Ernie and George. She will be missed by the rest of us every single day!
