– Michael Wayne Norlin died on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 in his home, surrounded by those he loved. He was 75.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia of 54 years, and their two children – Steven (Lisa) and Kevin (Kathleen) and six grand-daughters: Kaitlynn, Kimberly, Alexis, Aurora, Breanna and Cassandra. They were the light of his life. His brothers Rusty Rogers and Greg Norlin will keep his memory alive.

Michael graduated from Coronado High School in Scottsdale Arizona in 1965. He met his future beautiful wife at Mesa Community College that same year. He joined the Air Force Reserves in 1968 and served for five years. Michael graduated from the Phoenix Police Academy in 1970 and joined the department. He served 18 years on the Special Assignment­s Unit and then became a Detective in the Violent Crimes Bureau, finally retiring in 2007 after 37 years of service. Michael continued his dedication in the Phoenix Reserve Bureau for the next eleven years.

Mike and Patty loved the Diamondbac­ks. They were devoted fans and held season tickets for ASU football for 46 years. And when he wasn’t in attendance, he delighted in watching the games from his much-loved La-Z-Boy chair from home. Golfing was one of his favorite past-time and he enjoyed camping and hunting with his boys and family.

He touched the lives of so many people and will truly be missed and never forgotten.

A celebratio­n of life will be held at Red Mountain Ranch Golf and Country Club; 6425 E. Teton Circle Mesa, AZ. 85215
