Donna Pat Louk
PHOENIX/MESA – Dr. Donna Pat Louk joined Jesus for eternity on February 27, 2022. The lifelong Arizonan graduated from Andalucia Elementary, Alhambra High, Pacific Christian College (now Hope International University), and earned from Arizona State University both Masters of Education and Doctorate of Music Education Degrees, she taught in Alhambra, Washington, and Dysart School Districts. Donna presented Teacher Seminars instructing them to better engage students and prepare them for music professions and personal life enjoyment. She used edutainment and participation methods. She retired to caretake her father, then mother, and began teaching quilting, and other crafts classes at The Other Quilt Shop. Many of her quilts were donated to Charities through Reap What You Sew. Donna’s was a life well lived as she traveled six continents, both for her profession and tourism, and served many organizations. She was a founding member of Glendale Christian Church and served Christian churches as Sunday School teacher, pianist, and choir member. Her enthusiasm, instruction, and encouragement inspired many young people to participate in choirs, marching bands, and performing opportunities worldwide. Donna was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose absence is deeply felt by all who knew her. Survivors include her sister, Nancy Kress (Donald), two brothers, Paul Louk (Febra) and Russell Louk (Marianne). She was treasured/is missed by nieces: Melissa Kress, Christin Louk Worsley, Tracy Louk Fehring, and nephews: Brandon Kress, Ian Louk, Timothy Kress, Jordan Louk, and some of the best quilting friends a seamstress could sew alongside. Private memorial was held in April, 2022: Arizona Cremation, placement in Dream City Church Columbarium/Prayer Pavilion. Family is grateful for the professional, compassionate care of Donna and kindness to all those of us who visited the Cardiac ICU at Scottsdale Shea Honor Health Hospital her final three days.
