5-1-1927 - 2-25-23 Harold B Noonan, HAL, son of Richard and Teresa Noonan (deceased) was born in Morristown, New Jersey on 5-1-1927. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Merchant Marines. He served as a combat veteran during WWII. Upon returning from the war, he earned an Associate’s in Science from the County College of Morris. Hal served in the field of Correction­s for 32 years where he retired as the Warden of the Morris County Jail. Hal was a past President of the N.J. County Jail Warden’s Associatio­n. In 1981 he and his wife Catherine Ann (deceased) retired to Sun City West, AZ. During this time Hal volunteere­d, traveled and enjoyed golfing, bowling and softball. He was a member of the Sun Cities Softball league and played on the team that won the Senior Softball World Series in both 1998 and 1999. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 359, the A.M.M. Desert Mariners and Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. Hal is survived by a brother Paul (Anita) in N.J. He is also survived by sons Harold and Kevin (Andrea), daughters Denise (Robert) White, Moureen and Ann (Eddie) Sandoval along with 10 grandchild­ren and 5 great grandchild­ren. There will be a mass of celebratio­n at Prince of Peace Church on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 10:00AM. A private inurnment will be at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
