Nancy Darlene Erhorn
Nancy Darlene Erhorn, 83, passed away March 8, 2023, in Glendale, Arizona. She will be greatly missed. She was born in Longview, Washington, on June 12, 1939, to Fred and Mariam Plotner. She spent her early years in Vancouver, Washington, and her family relocated to Phoenix in 1953. She graduated from North High School in 1957, from Arizona State University in 1961, and received a MA from Oregon State University. She began her teaching career at North High School and then taught for many years at Harborfields High School in Long Island NY. She married Philip Erhorn in 1973, who predeceased her in 2006. They retired to Phoenix in 1997.
Nancy was a lifelong Christian Scientist, most recently a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Carefree-Cave Creek. She loved teaching Sunday School and being a Reader. She also loved being a sister in the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO).
Nancy was devoted to her family and friends. She was so proud of their accomplishments. She is preceded by her brother Fred and her sister Patricia Grace, to whom she gave loving care. She is also predeceased by her dear nephew Steven Plotner. Nancy is survived by her sister Alice Kern; brother Larry Plotner; nieces Darlann Hampton (Wade) and Erin Plotner; nephews Darrel Jackson (Jim), Robert Kern (Terry), Jeffrey Kern (Alicia), and Sean Kern (Rhonda); granddaughters Melissa Bolotow and Kate Clark (Kevin); stepdaughters Carol Nadel and Alice McGary; stepson Craig Erhorn; grandsons Matt Erhorn, Christopher Erhorn, Scott Lutz, and Brian Lutz; and her dear friend Rose Mary Mets. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ. The service will be live streamed and recorded. For further information, go to www. hansonmortuary.com Obituaries.
