SCOTTSDALE – Ronald “Ron” August Wehe Jr. passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, after a year-long battle with an aggressive form of liposarcoma cancer. He was 58 years old.

The son of a military family, Ron was born on January 21, 1965, in the Philippines. Moving around military base to base, his family finally settled in Arizona when Ron was 12 years old. He loved the game of basketball, claiming all state honors in high-school and, later, leading the team at Rocky Mountain College in Montana. After graduating with a Bachelors in Business Administration, Ron started his own construction company, Augusta Homes Inc., where he helped design and build families dream homes across the state of Arizona until the day he passed.

In 1992, Ron married Shelly Kay Dake who he was faithfully married to for 30 years. Together they had three children, Will, Tatum, and Wyatt, who remember their dad as a humorous, light-hearted soul who touched many lives. He was their hero and their role model. His family knows he is playing golf in the blissful clouds with the family that passed before him. Dad, everyone you left in this world hates that you are gone, but we are happy you are home free and painless. We will always love and miss you until we can hug you again.

In addition to Shelly, Will, Tatum, and Wyatt, Ron is survived by his father and mother, Ronald August Wehe Sr. and Maureen Joy Taylor, as well as his brother Matthew Wehe and sister Dawn Marie.

The funeral service will be at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 E Bell Road, Scottsdale, Arizona, on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 5 pm. A reception will follow the service. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives.
