Footprint Center in Phoenix was dropping hints about an Aerosmith concert

The Boston rockers had been teasing an announcement on social media, on billboards at assorted venues with the words “Peace Out” in place of their name in the logo and on Aerosmith’s official website, where a digital clock was counting down the hours to ... well, something.

Guitarist Joe Perry also hinted at the tour in a radio interview with WBAB-FM (102.3) in Babylon, New York.

Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix got in on the action Thursday, tweeting a photo of a poster with the Peace Out logo and the message “Walk This Way.”

Sunday afternoon, the venue shared a second tweet showing a photo of a road sign reading “You Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” and encouraging fans to stay tuned to Footprint Center social media.

The Peace Out Tour will be the first shows Aerosmith have played since late November, when they completed their Deuces Are Wild residency at the Dolby Live theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas.

Drummer Joey Kramer won’t be joining Aerosmith’s farewell tour

Aerosmith also shared news of drummer Joey Kramer’s

absence from the Peace Out tour:

“While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed.”
