Janice Davis

SCOTTSDALE – Janice Ann Davis, 89, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on September 4, 2023.

Jan was born on February 12, 1934, to Claude and Evelyn Johnson (deceased) in Waukon, Iowa. She had a younger brother Bob (deceased) and is survived by her younger sister, Linda and Wayne Boots of Waterloo, Iowa. Jan was the Homecoming Queen at Decorah High School where she graduated in 1952.

On May 31, 1953, Jan married Bob Davis (deceased) who was serving in the US Army at Fort Bragg, NC. They were married at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. They had six children: Craig, Mark, Randy, Roger, Dawn, and Glenn (deceased). They also lived in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Florida, then moved to Arizona in 1971. Jan was a homemaker; however, she did support her husband as a server while he graduated from The University of Iowa in the 60’s. Jan loved to bake, play golf, bridge, swim, and the Phoenix Suns.

Jan is survived by her daughters in law, Lynda (Craig) and Diane (Mark), her fifteen grandchildren: Melissa, Allison, Craig Jr (Craig), Tara, Monica (Mark), Natalie, Alicia (Diane), Taylor, Madison, Caitlyn, Jack (Randy), Melanie (Dawn), Dylan, Spencer, and Georgia (Glenn). Also, fifteen great grandchildren: JT and Adelynn Lowe (Melissa and Jerry), Shelby, Gracelyn, Mackenzie, and Everleigh Vu (Allison and Mike), Craig III and Finley Davis (Craig Jr and Kati), Avery and Scarlett Schmid (Tara and Andrew), Jaxson, Brayden and Blade (Diane), David and Danelle Davis (Melanie).
