Here are the top celeb-owned cars at Barrett-Jackson
Car enthusiasts come from all over to see the unique cars and celebrity-owned vehicles on display at the annual BarrettJackson auction in Scottsdale. It will be no different at the 2024 auction coming up Jan. 20-28.
“We’ll have several cars consigned by and previously owned by celebrities,” said Rodney Scearce, director of public relations.
“Most notably, one of our feature cars in the auction is a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari owned by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar. Sammy will be at the auction and on the black when his supercar crosses the auction block on Saturday, Jan. 27.”

Unique cars up for auction at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2024
“We have several notable, low-production and highly desirable supercars on the docket,” said Scearce. “In addition to Hagar’s LaFerrari, we have a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder finished in a paintto-sample Acid Green. Together, the LaFerrari and the 918 represent two-thirds of the holy trinity of hypercars (the other being the McLaren P1).”

“On the other end of the collector car spectrum, we have several pre-war classics from the Don Williams Collection, each of which has a spectacular history of ownership and awards,” said Scearce. “One of which has a significant tie here to Arizona — a 1938 Packard 12 TorpedoCabriolet originally owned by Geordie Hormel, heir to Hormel Foods Corp.”

According to Scearce, 1937 MercedesBenz 540K Special Roadster with coachwork by the Mayfair Carriage Co. is also a part of the Don Williams collection.
“While it’s common for upscale luxury cars built before World War II to receive custom bodies crafted by renowned coachbuilders, the Mercedes-Benz 540K defied convention as its body styles were so beloved that only 70 of the 419 produced between 1936 and 1940 were designated for custom coachwork,” Scearce said.
“This example in Scottsdale is one of the exclusive 70, and even more distinctive, it is one of less than 10 with custom coachwork by a U.K. coachbuilder.”
