Toby Charles Massingale

PHOENIX – Toby Charles Massingale, 54 passed away peacefully on January 10,2024. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on September 17, 1969. He is survived by his Father, Timothy E. Massingale (Jennifer Werner-Massingale) Stepmother, his Mother Karen A. Gausden (Michael J. Gausden), Stepfather, his Sister Molly L. Hammant (Scott M. Hammant). He also is survived by five cousins, Elyse, Gigi, Brian, Denise and Brent, 3 stepbrothers, Bill, Steve and Mike and 1 stepsister Christina.

Toby was a fourth generation Arizona Native, was a long-time resident of Scottsdale, Arizona and attended Chaparral High School.

Toby had an uncanny ability to recall dates and times of events of his life. His lifelong passion was his music and was able to recall countless facts about his favorite music groups. He was an avid music lover with a huge collection of genres in his library of daily listening. He was an animal lover, especially small animals from ferrets to kittens and dogs. Toby was kind and fun-loving, with a huge sense of humor, a free spirit that danced to the beat of his own drum.

There was a private family viewing on January 12th, 2024. Toby was cremated and there will be a private ceremony at Paradise Memorial Gardens, 9300 E. Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.
