Scott Anderson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Scott Jardine Anderson, who left us on October 31, 2023, at the age of 65. Born on February 12, 1958, inBerwyn, Illinois to Joan and Donald Anderson, Scott was the second of four sons in a family that traveled the world due to his father’s Air Force career.

Scott’s adventurous spirit was evident from his early years. He graduated from Lakenheath High School in England in 1976 and soon followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the Air Force, where he honed his skills as a Russian linguist. His eight years in the military were a testament to his dedication and love for his country.

After his military service, Scott settled in Tucson where his life was enriched by the birth of his daughter, Jessica, in 1985 with his first wife Betty. His journey took him to Las Vegas where he met his second wife Sherry and her three daughters. Eventually he ended up in Phoenix, where he met his wife, Karen Clifford. The two were married December 1, 2001, and were married until his passing.In Phoenix, Scott embarked on a successful career in IT and programming, later graduating with honors with an Associate’s degree in Red Hat, which he put to use until his retirement.

Scott’s passion for music was unparalleled. He was a talented musician, adept at playing the guitar, piano, and harmonica. His love for rock and roll, especially the Beatles, was infectious. Scott also had a unique sense of humor, often lighting up the room with his dad jokes.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by his wife Karen; daughter Jessica (Tim); his beloved grandson PJ; brothers Steve (Christine) and Don (Rose); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Joan, and his younger brother Larry.

A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at Heritage Funeral Chapel (6830 W. Thunderbird Rd. Peoria, AZ) on February 3 at 2 PM. He had a lot of love for his family and friends will be greatly missed.
