Car tops $3.4M at this year’s Barrett-Jackson auto auction

The 2024 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale collector car auction came to a close on Sunday, Jan. 28, at WestWorld of Scottsdale and now it’s time to see the top sellers.

The nine-day series of events kicked off with a Rock the Block party featuring performanc­es from Foreigner and Night Ranger. This year’s celebrity cars on the auction block included vehicles owned by actor Nicolas Cage, Kardashian momager Kris Jenner and former president Donald Trump.

There were also some fun surprises, like when Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony crashed Red Voodoo’s set on Friday to perform a slew of classic hits on what would have been Eddie Van Halen’s 69th birthday.

How do people pay for cars at Barrett-Jackson?

Barrett-Jackson allows four different options to purchase a car at its auctions:

1 Woodside Credit, a nationwide collector car finance company and is exclusivel­y endorsed by Barrett-Jackson.

2 Bank letter of guaranty.

3 Wire transfers with letters written on bank letterhead.

4 Bid limit deposit in the form of a cashier’s check made payable to Barrett-Jackson only.

How much does it cost to enter the Barrett-Jackson auction?

To sell a car at the Barrett-Jackson auction, the seller is responsibl­e for paying the entry fee based on the time of day of the auction and the lot number. There is also a seller’s commission of 8 percent of the hammer price and the

buyer pays a 10 percent buyer’s premium on their purchase.

How much money do you have to have to bid at Barrett-Jackson?

According to Barrett-Jackson.com the minimum bid limit is $30,000. This is true for all methods of payment.
