TUCSON – Dorothy Lee Clifford, a resident of Tucson, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on December 12, 2023. Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Dorothy was a graduate of the University of Arkansas. Dorothy worked in Event Planning for Disneyland California, arriving in Arizona in the early 1970’s where she pursued a career in property management later becoming a real estate agent and broker. Restless by nature and unwilling to let the grass grow under their feet, Dorothy and her husband Joe lived and traveled extensively across the state including residing many years in the Phoenix area, Flagstaff, Rio Rico and finally settling into retirement in Tucson.

Dorothy was passionate about giving back to her community and was a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program, building homes for those in need for more than 20 years. No other activity in her life fulfilled her as much as the sense of community she found among the volunteers at this organization. Dorothy took pride in contributing to those who found shelter through Habitat. When Dorothy wasn’t building houses or eyeing her next travel adventure, she spent her time pursuing quilting, painting and any other creative projects she found engaging.

Dorothy is survived by her stepsons Andrew, Matt and Ted, and grandsons Ryan and Dashiell. Dorothy was preceded by her husband Joseph.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the community meeting & pool area in the Villa Milano Community at Sin Vacas, on E Viale Di Buona Fortuna, Tucson AZ 85718.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Habitat for Humanity Tucson, https://habitattucson. org or the Humane Society of Southern Arizona, https://hssaz.org/.
