Connecticut coach Dan Hurley knows that his brother, Arizona State coach Bobby Hurley, has his back.

The Huskies coach thanked the Sun Devils coach for his support in comments with the media on Thursday at the NCAA Final Four in Glendale, and then showed that he has Bobby Hurley’s back, too. He appeared to take a dig at ASU for not putting his brother in a position to win.

“It’s awesome to be out here,” said Dan Hurley, who is attempting to coach his team to back-to-back national titles. “I see why Bob loves it so much. Obviously the time I’ll spend with him the next couple of days, you know him sabotaging these other programs for me at his site there is going to give me a distinct advantage, too, which I appreciate

UConn coach Dan Hurley had some interesting comments about his brother Bobby Hurley on Thursday at the NCAA Final Four. from big bro.

“You can see why he loves it here. You can see why he values his job here. I think when he’s in a position to have the resources that a lot of us at this Final Four have, when he has that at his full disposal, he’ll be up on this dais, and someday I’ll be supporting him.”

The Hurleys are very close, with his comments Thursday another example of just how tight the basketball coaching brothers are.

Bobby Hurley recently signed a 2year contract extension with ASU after an 11-month delay.

Some ASU fans have grown disgruntled with the coach’s performance at Arizona State amid a rough 2023-24 season, and called for his firing.

The Sun Devils currently don’t have an athletic director. They also play in an arena, Desert Financial Arena, that is 50 years old and in need of serious upgrades.
