UA 2024 graduation: What to know about ceremony, parking and more
The University of Arizona class of 2024 will celebrate with their peers on May 10.
Actor and UA alumnus Craig Nelson, known for “Coach” and “The Incredibles,” will give this year’s commencement address. Nelson left UA in 1969 to take an acting job before completing his degree.
Here’s what to know for UA’s 160th Commencement.
When is UA graduation?
Spring commencement is at 7:30 p.m. on May 10 at Arizona Stadium and will last for roughly 90 minutes. Gates will open an hour beforehand and guests are recommended to arrive early.
Tickets are not required for guests to attend, only students. Those who can’t attend in person can watch a livestream that will be emailed to students beforehand.
UA hosts more than 50 celebrations for various schools and cohorts throughout graduation season. A full list with dates and times is available at UA’s website.
What can I bring?
Guests will need to abide by UA’s clear bag policy to bring items into the stadium.
Clear bags no larger than 12 inches wide, such as a gallon-sized plastic bag, and clutch purses no larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches are allowed.
Other prohibited items:
● Outside beverages (besides unopened water). ● Coolers.
● Tripods or monopods.
● Any weapons or sharp objects.
● Balloons.
● Confetti.
● Airhorns.

Where should I park?
A shuttle to and from Arizona Stadium is available at Sixth Street Garage, Highland Garage Main Gate Garage. University officials recommend parking south of Sixth Street
For guests with a disability, a UA guide is available with resources for wheelchair rentals and ASL interpreting services. Cherry Ave Garage has direct access to the stadium through the southwest corner. The first two floors are for disability parking.
