TEMPE - William “Bill” Emshoff, passed peacefully at the age of 83 on April 8, 2024 at Eternal Spring Care Center. He was born May 10, 1940, in Cleveland, OH to William and Doris Emshoff. Bill grew up in Solon, OH and was the oldest of 6 children. He graduated from Solon High School in 1958 and received a Bachelors degree in accounting from Wittenberg University in Springfiel­d, OH in 1964, where he also played basketball. He moved to Arizona in 1973 to start a contractin­g business of his own. He worked 50 years building a business that was greatly respected and known by many. Bill was blessed with 3 daughters which grew to adding 10 grandchild­ren and 5 great-grandchild­ren. Bill was married to Echo in 2019. He loved any sort of car racing, old cars, tractors, sports, and animals. Bill was preceded in death by his parents William and Doris Emshoff, and his son-in-law Kerry Croswhite. He is survived by wife of 5 years Echo Emshoff (Chandler, AZ). He had three daughters Kathi Wiseman (Tempe, AZ), Laurie Croswhite (Tempe, AZ), and Megan (Ryan) Jarvis (Gilbert, AZ). Bill was grandfathe­r to Brianna Wiseman (Tempe, AZ), Ryland (Lindsay Rodriguez) Wiseman (Chicago, IL), Kagen (Claire) Croswhite (Chandler, AZ), Bristyn Croswhite (Tempe, AZ), Dusten Croswhite (Tempe, AZ), Madison (Riley) Packer, (Mesa, AZ), Maizey Jarvis (Philadelph­ia, PA), Statton Jarvis (Gilbert, AZ), Jocelyn Jarvis (Gilbert, AZ), and Juliette Jarvis (Gilbert,AZ). He was a great-grandfathe­r to Lennox Stephens, Londyn Stephens, Sawyer Croswhite, Summit Croswhite, and Knox Packer. Bill is also survived by his siblings, Jim (Margie) Emshoff, Joan (Carl Majeczky) Jorgenson, Alan (Marilyn) Emshoff, Chris (Connie) Emshoff, and Nancy (Bob) Meany, as well as many nieces and nephews. Services for Bill are Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, at 1111 E Knox Rd, Tempe, AZ 85284; 11:00 am visitation followed by funeral service at Noon. Interment at Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N Center St. Mesa, AZ 85201 at 2pm, followed by a brief reception with light refreshmen­ts back at the church building where funeral services were held. Bill stood tall at 6’10” and was usually the biggest man in the room but also came with the biggest heart. He will be missed by many and forever in our hearts.
