W. Randall “Randy” Payant

SCOTTSDALE - W. Randall (Randy) Payant, 70, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Scottsdale, AZ on March 14, 2024. Randy was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on December 2, 1953 to Bill and Sharon Payant. He graduated from Premontre High School (now Notre Dame de la Baie Academy) in 1972. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and his Master’s Degree in Accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Randy entered the world of banking and finance. He traveled extensively around the world advising both financial institutions and governments on asset and liability management.

Randy settled in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1991, and in recent years split his time between his home in Scottsdale and summering on his sailboat at the Manitowoc Marina in Wisconsin. Randy had a wide variety of passions including anything involving electronics, sailing, skiing, cooking, guitar playing, and serving his neighbors.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Beverly Payant and his father William H. Payant. Randy is survived by his siblings: Nancy (Michael) Middlemas, Buckeye, AZ; Pamela (Bruce) Van Oss, Townsend, WI; Cynthia (Robert) Payant Entringer, Austin, TX; and Scott (Lauren Urich) Payant, Minturn, CO; and nieces and nephews.

A private gathering was held near his Scottsdale home on March 19. Randy will be interred at The Allouez Cemetery and Mausoleum.
