How to watch Sunday’s Diamondbacks-Padres game

- Evan Desai

Watching the Arizona Diamondbacks on television can be a bit complicated.

On Sunday, the DBacks’ game at the San Diego Padres will be shown only on Roku.

Last month, the DBacks played on Roku against the Philadelphia Phillies, and they will be broadcast again on Roku Sept. 1 vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Here’s what to know:

How to watch Sunday’s game

Fans will need to have the Roku app on a smart TV or the Roku app for mobile or access to TheRokuChannel.com in order to see the National League West clash. No subscription or payment will be necessary, so the game is free to everyone.

When is Sunday’s game?

The first pitch will be at 1:10 p.m. It is the series finale of their three-game road set with the Padres. The Padres enter the series three games ahead of the DBacks in the National League West standings.

Where teams stand

The Padres come in with the second National League wild card spot, while the DBacks trail in the playoff picture. San Diego came into the series sporting a 4843 record, compared to the DBacks’ 4344 record at the start of the series.

Both having been offensive teams so far, the Padres outscore the DBacks by a run (421 to 420). They also post an ERA of 0.60 points, which is better than the DBacks’ 4.65 team ERA. The DBacks, however, have won four of their last five

games prior to the series.

This is in large part due to Christian Walker’s five-game multi-hit streak, where he has launched five home runs

and driven in 11 RBIs. In addition, he scored eight times and hit .650 with a 2.258 OPS during that streak. (All statistics and records in article are as of July 5.)
