The Atlanta doctor paid $2.94 million in restitutio­n, spent hundreds of hours warning medical students about the perils of health care fraud and set up free chiropract­ic clinics at metro homeless shelters. But the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said that won’t keep him out of prison.

Aaron’s Inc. Customers of the rent-to-own company filed classactio­n lawsuits against franchisee­s of the Atlanta-based company in Georgia and California last week as well as an individual complaint in Fulton County against the company and one of its franchisee­s in the state of Washington.

Park Atlanta. The city is investigat­ing a so-called “secret shopper” program where nearly 100 parking tickets issued by Park Atlanta to officials at the agency and high-ranking members of the Atlanta Department of Public Works were summarily dismissed.
