Action: The board agreed to accept money confiscated from criminals in the past year. The $1 million in federal money will go to county police, who use the funds to buy equipment or pay overtime for investigations that yield drug arrests. Police will get another $600,000 in state money. The DeKalb district attorney will receive $200,000 and the county sheriff and marshal’s office will receive $3,000 each, all from the state funds.
