Hotels fill up quickly and tickets for popular events sell out fast, so book your Spoleto experience early.

Crowds are biggest opening weekend, with the two following weekends close behind. Although there are fewer performances during the week, there are still plenty of events Sundays through Thursdays, and it’s a great way to beat the crowds.

Tickets can be pricey, but there are occasional free concerts, exhibitions and performances throughout the 17-day event, and some Piccolo Spoleto performances start around $10.
