- Wire reports

Georgia Tech’s women used a 13-0 run early in the second half to snap a four-game losing streak with a 71-59 victory Sunday over host Clemson in Littlejohn Coliseum.

The Yellow Jackets (1513, 5-9 ACC) were paced by Kaela Davis’ 24 points while Roddreka Rogers recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 14 points and a career-high 19 rebounds.

Clemson (9-18, 1-13) lost its 13th straight, a streak that began with an eightpoint loss at Tech Jan. 4.

“I’m extremely proud of the way we showed perseverance after getting in some foul trouble,” Tech coach MaChelle Joseph said. “It was really hard to play in the first half without Zaire (O’Neil) and Kaela. The other players stepped up. We are continuing to grow up and learn from our mistakes and figuring out ways to win.”

The Jackets broke open a one-point game with a baseline jump shot by Davis with 18:09 to play, signaling a run that would send them to a 47-33 advantage with 13:43 re- maining. Tech forced six Tigers turnovers during its run and held Clemson scoreless for 5:11.

Auburn 44, Georgia 26: The Lady Bulldogs shot just 24.4 percent (11for-45) while committing 27 turnovers in a listless performance in Athens. Georgia trailed by just one basket at the half but failed to score for the first 7:20 of the second half.

Pachis Robert led UGA with 10 points. Senior guard Erika Ford missed all 16 shots she took. Auburn’s Brandy Montgomery led all scorers with 21 points. Her 10 baskets almost surpassed UGA’s team total (11).

Georgia dropped to 1710 (5-9 SEC) while Auburn (10-17) won its first conference game in 14 tries. Men’s basketball Emory 75, Carnegie Mellon 63: Davis Rao scored 17 points, including 12 in the second half when the Eagles pulled away from Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. With the victory, Emory (195, 9-4 University Athletic Association) clinched a share of the conference title. Rao converted 5 of 8 3-point tries to lead all scorers.
