Peach State Opera to perform ‘Elixir’

Having performed “The Elixir of Love” in Tifton, Brunswick and Hayesville, N.C., Peach State Opera brings Gaetano Donizetti’s comic opera home to Atlanta for a performance in English at 3 p.m. Sunday at Georgia Perimeter College’s Cole Auditorium in Clarkston. The company founded in 2009 by Artistic Director Evelyn Hughes is in its sixth season of bringing opera to audiences far from the city as well as to Atlanta, providing emerging operatic professionals from the metro area and beyond opportunities to perform new roles.
